Condor Algerian Home Appliances Officially Launches Its Brand in the Egyptian Market

Condor Group, one of the region’s leading industrial conglomerates, has officially launched its brand in the Egyptian market, a move that reflects its strategy for regional expansion and for strengthening its industrial presence across Arab and African markets.

The announcement was made during an official ceremony held in Cairo, attended by Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, Speaker of the Algerian National People’s Assembly, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Sofiane, Algeria’s Ambassador to Egypt, along with a number of senior figures from the industry and investment sectors.

Mohamed Saleh Daas title is deputy CEO of condor group, stated that entering the Egyptian market represents the culmination of a long-term strategic vision, stressing that Egypt is considered one of the group’s most pivotal markets at the current stage.

He explained that Condor’s strategy in Egypt is built on three main pillars: developing a reliable and innovative brand based on the latest technologies; offering products that balance high quality with competitive pricing; and meeting the needs of the Egyptian consumer.

Daas added that the group has extensive experience in the home appliances sector, particularly air conditioners, noting Condor’s successful presence in 17 international markets, which reflects the strength of its products and their ability to compete regionally and globally.

He emphasized that gaining the trust of Egyptian consumers is a core element of the company’s strategy, through a strong focus on after-sales services, rapid response, and building long-term customer relationships. He affirmed that Condor views the Egyptian market as a strategic partner for sustainable growth, not merely a consumer market.

The Vice Chairman also revealed plans to establish an industrial base in Egypt in the coming period, aimed at localizing the manufacturing of several products, including televisions, refrigerators, and air conditioners, thereby contributing to the development of local industry and the creation of new job opportunities.

He noted that Condor Group comprises 32 companies operating across 12 industrial sectors, employs around 17,000 people, and records annual sales exceeding USD 1.5 billion. The group produces and distributes 22 local and international brands and accounts for approximately 50% of Algeria’s exports of household electrical and electronic appliances.

In a related development, the group announced the launch of the largest air conditioner manufacturing plant in Africa, in partnership with Hisense, with a production capacity of up to two million units annually. This comes as part of a USD 1 billion investment plan over five years, aimed at increasing total production capacity to 10 million units per year.

For his part, Ayman Sami, CEO of Condor Egypt, said the company aims to deliver real added value to the Egyptian market through a model based on strength, efficiency, quality, and competitive pricing, with a full commitment to supporting partners and distributors and enhancing after-sales services.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Abdel Moneim, Commercial Director of Condor Air Conditioning in Egypt, stated that the company targets global production of three million air conditioning units by 2026. He noted that Condor products, which have obtained Eurovent certification, comply with the latest European standards approved for the Egyptian market.

He added that the geographical proximity between Egypt and Algeria provides a significant logistical advantage, with shipping times not exceeding 21 days in the initial phases before local manufacturing begins. He also highlighted the company’s reliance on energy-efficient inverter technology and the provision of technical solutions compatible with Egypt’s power grid, enhancing operational efficiency and extending product lifespan.
